The Sweetest Fourth of July
Happy Fourth of July holiday! I wanna set up this blog post by saying I’m so, so thankful for living in the United States of America. As they say, the “home of the free, because of the brave.” It’s so true, and so beautiful. Let’s hear it for the red, white and blue, shall we? Today I wave my American flag proudly on my porch, wear my red shoes, eat a slice of apple pie (or, maybe just a fancy milkshake?) and say THANK YOU.
I wish I had my hands on some of these amazing macarons from Dana’s Bakery. Y’all, I love Dana herself to pieces. She must be the nicest person ever who went from a tiny little shop to worldwide fame. One day I received a thank you box from a vendor at work, and it was none other than a box of Dana’s macarons. I knew she had hit it big then, and I’m proud to say she’s helped me out when I really needed it (hello, that was the best gender reveal party ever, by the way, Dana).
American Pie
She has the most creative way of coming up with flavors – and the American Pie box was created especially for the Fourth. You lucky New Yorkers have easy access (local delivery? um, yes, please!), but if you’re ordering online, I noticed they’re still out there! Like I said, I’ve had them shipped to Arkansas from New York and they tasted just as sweet.
A box like this is $35, and it’s the perfect pick-me-up. Believe me when I say I stalked this delivery order more than a shoe order. Wink.
Happy Fourth to all of you! It won’t be long and I’ll be on the beach, so please forgive my absence. We’ll see how much blogging I do, but when I get back? I have some epic news to tell you (that’s been making me absent from here – sigh). I wish I could tell you now…squeal!!!
See you soon…xoxo
