Back from the Beach

After being gone on vacation for nearly two weeks, I thought this week I would want to travel again. Instead, I’ve found myself quietly perched on my couch doing…nothing. Ahh! The back-from-vacation syndrome gets me every time. I am pretty excited, I must admit, that I don’t have to return to work until next month. Wait – did you see my announcement on social media over vacay?! I’m gonna be a TEACHER.

So here’s my HUGE announcement. I’m changing careers & I’ll be a TEACHER this fall. Better yet, a *literacy* teacher. Squeal!!!! I can’t even tell you how excited I am. God is SO good, and I can’t wait to teach little ones how to read and write. It’s been a LOT of work getting here, y’all, and my journey has just begun. 🙏🏻🙌🏼👸🏼 #teacher #godsplan #careergoals

I’m trying to pull together the “official” blog post for later this week. Until then, I guess the cat’s outta the bag. I truly can’t wait to dive into this new career of mine. Teaching little geniuses will be hard work (wearing mostly flats), but incredibly rewarding.

Beach Time

And speaking of little geniuses, my very own had an amazing time at the beach. I thought I would recap some of our gorgeous moments for you in case you missed them. I truly love looking back at our beach memories, and it seems so silly, but the week we come back is hard on my heart every time! Gosh, we love that place. Talk soon…xoxo

Wanna know why the last night at the beach hurts so much? Of course, we all know we’ll miss the sand. The waves. The breeze. But, we also know we won’t ever have these moments again. Little L was 3. Little C was 7. I was embarking on a new career. My mom was turning the pages on a new decade. We all know a lot happens in ONE year. So who knows what will have happened by the time we return next summer. All we have and know are these sweet, precious memories that we’ve made today. 🌊
