Whiny Wednesday: Donut Worry, Be Happy
Ok, I’m a little biased here, but how adorable do little L and little C look in their new Bling2o goggles? Squeal!!!! So. Chic. This company is only five years old, but I’m obsessed over everything they make. We used our first pair last summer – you know, the multi-colored kind you see with all the rhinestones around it? She actually wore those in May and June for swim lessons and loved them. But Bling just keeps outdoing themselves with each new “model,” making them more and more adorable. I’m telling y’all – I can’t stand the cuteness!
The pair little L is wearing here is the “Do Nuts 4 U” ($28.95) with faux candy sprinkles. You can choose from Boston Creme Pink or Grape Jelly (that’s pink or purple in adult language). I am completely gaga over the gigantic round glasses (hello, Iris Apfel). If ever there was a more perfect pair for her, I don’t know what it would be. She literally asked for donuts every day of vacay last week. Blush.
Little C is wearing the “Galaxy,” one of the top-selling boy styles. These goggles look so cool on him – I love it! It’s hard to find goggles a 7-year-old really enjoys wearing, but I’ll tell ya that he truly loves these. All of the Bling20 goggles are anti-fog and latex free, so basically it’s like the luxury vehicle you never had.
I’m telling you right now that it’s totally worth a few extra dollars from the Target ones you see for $5. These last you more than one summer and make for the sweetest Instagram photos. Am I right?
P.S. Let me now go on my sunscreen rant. If you’re looking for an amazing sunscreen, I highly recommend Thinkbaby. It’s not just for babies (and you can easily buy it at Target). This particular version we tried smells like orange sherbet and features an SPF of 50. It’s zinc oxide, so it’s safe from chemicals (and it’s been on the safe list for years), and it’s dermatologist tested so it won’t irritate little skin. We did not use this sunscreen the first day at the beach (mistake!), but used another brand (ok, Honest brand). While the Honest tube said SPF 50 and water-resistant, blah, blah, blah, I will tell you that my son got a sunburn that I was not happy about at all. (aka it doesn’t work) In essence, use Thinkbaby (or contact me for even more favs!). Happy summer! xoxo
