How I Wore My Heels: Easterseals, Fashion Event Party

It’s been a hot minute on these outfit posts, so excuse me for my absence. These days I only go out of my way for things that truly, truly matter to me (priorities, right?). Easterseals is one of those organizations, and this is a party I attend every year. It’s a fun way to celebrate and cheer on these kids (and adults) who really work so hard at just the simple things we all take for granted. It’s fun for them to get dressed up every year at this time and walk the runway to cheers from the audience, and every time I get a little more teared up when I do this.

I just had little L’s “well” appointment for four years old, and I thank God every day for my blessings and my two healthy children. I realize this isn’t the case for all, and so I commend everything Easterseals does to help those in need. I can’t think of another way I would rather spend my time and resources.

What to Wear

And because it’s a fashion event, it’s fun to dress up. This year, I’m wearing my fav color – copper! I bought this dress from local boutique Scarlet, and it’s a color designers should def make more of because it’s so rare! This dress by OneTeaspoon is slinky, lightweight and super comfy, which is totally how I roll these days.

The Night

It’s such a fun night with a silent and live auction (where I usually end up bidding on something!) and models that strut the runway from local boutiques. I usually get there early to bid and eat lots of yummy, gourmet food. The band Boom Kinetic is always a thrill during the show, and I adore KARK’s emcees Mallory Brooks and DJ Williams.
