Whiny Wednesday: The Perfect Princess Birthday Party
I must admit, I couldn’t stop uploading photos on little L’s princess birthday party at Pigtails & Crewcuts. One, I’m in love with everything about this princess birthday party, but two, I took a million photos because of this and it was really hard to edit down to a few! So just know that as I’m typing this I’m rehashing the moment and squealing with glee because even I had fun at this party….squeal!!!!
When I chose this party, I knew it would be a hit. I mean, c’mon…10-12 little girls…princess party dress-up…unicorn cake. It was bound to be nothing but the best. But, what I couldn’t predict was how adorable in person and just how well organized it would be. The two party hosts literally took care of everything – from setting up the tables for the cake and photo frame decorating to dressing the girls in their outfits and doing all of their hair and make-up. little L. wore her favorite party dress with polka dots for the big day (can’t believe she’s FOUR!), and a new pair of Mini Melissa unicorn shoes that she absolutely adores more than anything in her closet (don’t know where she gets it?!). Pretty sure every girl at the party now wants a pair of those unicorn shoes!
The girls took turns getting dressed “like a princess” complete with dress and shoes (of course!), decorating their own “princess” frame (which later would hold a photo of all of them together in their dresses and they took home as a favor!), and getting all dolled up with nail polish, braids, eye shadow and glitter on the side of their face (I couldn’t believe how grown she looked – ahh!!). You would’ve thought they had hit the jackpot! Well, in their world, they really had.
It was truly adorable to see their faces and watch them be pampered. Gosh, it starts young, doesn’t it? I know that little L won’t always have puppies and rainbows, and fairy tales aren’t really how life works. But for now? I’m really enjoying watching her during this innocent stage of life, soaking up all of the princesses, unicorns and magic that we can. Completely precious.
