Porter Grey: Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week S/S 2012
On Thursday, I was especially excited to view the spring/summer collection of Porter Grey. Everyone from Whitney Port and Malin Ackerman to Anne Hathaway has been spotted in the fashionable line, founded by sisters Alexandra and Kristen O’Neill (yep, that’s them in the last photo!). It’s contemporary sportswear at its finest, and I was so glad it was shown the The Box, the presentation-style venue at Lincoln Center, so I could get a close look.
The collection was full of silk crepe tanks and blouses in muted hues of nude, white and oyster matched with floral mini shorts, leather wrap skirts and skorts. Think geraniums, hydrangeas, pansies. Floral is h-o-t for Porter Grey next year. Pair it with classic denim, a white button-down or a streamlined blazer. Or why not go all-out and wear it on a one-shoulder dress? Prints weren’t completely the name of the game, however. We also fell madly in love with this black chiffon shirred dress below. Complete cuteness.
