BCBG Max Azriais always a packed show. But, somehow angels were watching over me and I scored a third-row seat. Wink. I absolutely adored all of the fluid silhouettes and weightless fabrics that seemed to almost glide down the runway. Breathtaking, indeed.
But, what really caught my eye were the coral hues mixed with tribal prints and embroideries…completely urban, global and gorgeous. There were lots of maxi dresses and sporty elements that combined a sense of active glamour and effortless chic all in one collection. Silk chiffon colorblock dresses, a navy silk georgette jumpsuit, a black silk crepe embroidered dress. Everything was light and airy – perfect for that beach vacay you’ve got planned already.
“The beauty of the look at BCBG Max Azria is inspired by a woman who just stepped out of the shower after a long, healthy workout. Fresh, radiant skin is the star. I added a touch of lip balm to the eyelids for a healthy glow.” –Charlotte Willer, Maybelline New York Global Makeup Arist
Charlotte Willer of Maybelline New York created the fresh and clean make-up look by using Fit Me! products, including foundation, powder and a medium coral and deep plum blush. She also used Baby Lips lip balm in Quenched.
P.S. Several celebs showed – from Shantel VanSanten of One Tree Hill to Jordana Brewster, who wore the Aperlai “Angela” nude pumps in the second to bottom photo. The bottom photo is of street style photog Phil Oh of Street Peeper. (I met him at the Lucky Magazine conference this week! More to come on that…)
