Luca Luca: Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week S/S 2012
I had to make this photo extra large because this is quite possibly my fav gown shown this season at Fashion Week thus far. Swoooooon. Luca Luca gets it. It’s no wonder every celeb is clamoring to sit on the front row at this show (everyone from Ashley Tisdale and Solange Knowles to Whitney Port and Jamie Lynn Sigler was there…and within a few arm’s reach of me!)
This masterpiece was the final look shown – a white silk crepe chiffon gown with black ombre embroidered rosette beading. I’m gasping over and over again. All in all, there was actually a lot of color in the collection – especially berry and aqua. And when combined with black? Genius. (see the multi-colored rosette embroidered tulip jacket paired with black sheer organza pants below)
A teal silk charmeuse draped gown also came at the end with both a front and back slit. Perfection. I also loved the tailored seersucker and jacquard blazers paired with slim pants – it’s time to embrace your figure this spring/summer. And as the aqua silk crepe jumpsuit headed down the runway, I thought it might just be time to hit the gym again.
P.S. Wonder what the models wore under these slinky dresses like my fav above? None other than Commando underwear. (lifesaver)
