FASHIONISTA KELLY HELFMAN SETS THE TRENDS
Kelly Helfman has been a fashionista her whole life and she was able to spin her love of fashion into a huge career with MAGIC. She is President of West Coast Women’s events and oversees sales, merchandising, partnerships for WWDMAGIC (named the top U.S. tradeshow in 2018 & 2019), PROJECT WOMENS, STITCH, and POOLTRADESHOW. She is also a mother of two and was named one of BizBash’s 1000 Most Influential Event Professionals for 2019.
Kelly knows the trends and we always look to her for what’s coming! She will be back in Las Vegas February 5-7 for the world renowned fashion marketplace MAGIC. According to Kelly, “At MAGIC, buyers will see the most-chic brands and the hottest emerging designers all under one roof. It’s a can’t-miss shopping experience complete with live music, happy hours, networking events, and speakers like Tori Spelling, Delilah and Amelia Hamlin, The Bella Twins, Camila Coelho and more.”
We caught up with her this week to capture a few looks we might see at WWDMAGIC and PROJECT WOMENS this upcoming show.
BURNT ORANGE
Orange is still the new black! No doubt about it. It all began in 2018, with rust and a smoky shade of copper, and in 2020 it’s a stunning burnt orange. Not Halloween orange but a tasteful orange take on rust. Its bold-but-not over the top and its fun while also very chic. Give it a try in the new decade. Branch out.

STATEMENT COATS
The statement coat serves a purpose (keep you warm) and should add a dash of style and personality. I say go for a coat that is unforgettable, brave and fun! With a killer statement coat, what’s underneath can be extremely simple. Let the coat do the talking.

SKIRTS WITH SLITS
This can be worn a zillion different ways. From mini to maxi and everything in between – this silhouette is flattering and omnipresent. It can take you from coffee to shopping to date night and still look perfect. Do NOT be afraid of a high dramatic slit. Give it a go.

THE TURTLENECK
Turtlenecks are here with a vengeance. It’s a chic classic that always delivers. Steve Jobs loved a good turtleneck, as Audrey Hepburn. Its gone from alternative cool to preppy to chic and now it’s SO 2020!
