How I Wore My Heels: Plaid Blanket Scarf
Leave it to me to stalk the perfect plaid blanket scarf for like, oh two years, and then finally decide I need one and snatch one off eBay. It’s true. I was online shopping one day over the holidays and decided I needed one, but didn’t really want to invest much after buying all those Christmas presents. So, I found this perfect plaid blanket scarf on eBay for a whopping $7. Squeal?? Yep!
This scarf is huge and has to be the softest, comfiest thing ever. It’s really my easy solution to a very cold office. I just leave this puppy on all day and cozy up while I work. Voila! Why did it take me so long to figure that out? (So, what I’m saying is this scarf might continue to live at my desk even through spring/summer.)
How To Tie a Blanket Scarf
So now how exactly do you tie a blanket scarf? Y’all. I’ve been living in fear of the scarf only because I didn’t know how to tie one. Seriously! Its as easy as walking in flats, for real.
- You fold the big ol’ beautiful blanket scarf in a triangle. Easy.
- Now place it on your chest.
- Take the two ends and criss-cross them behind your neck.
- Either leave them hanging up front – or tuck them under the scarf a bit.
- That’s it! You don’t have to live in blanket scarf fear anymore.
So basically, I bought this green tee from Zara for $12, found these printed jeans from PacSun in the back of my closet, grabbed my fav monogrammed clutch from GiGi New York, and slipped on my snakeskin Stuart Weitzman heels (closet staple, hello).
My shoes might have cost substantially more than the entire rest of my outfit, but I did scoop them up a few years ago on sale, so there’s that.
This outfit is proof you don’t (a) have to be too fancy to look pulled together, (b) have to spend too much and (c) have to buy new pieces all the time – just a little update here and there like this tee!
I hope you all have a lovely week! Cheers to tees and heels. xoxo
You can shop my clutch here – it’s on sale for less than $100! Plus, I found a similar blanket scarf. 🙂
