The Latest on Lia Sophia
By Sarah Kleinhenz, Fashion Week Correspondent
I ended my Sunday afternoon at the tents by walking over to the Empire Hotel to check out the Lia Sophia Jewelry Suite. I know, I know, it’s a tough job, but hey, someone’s gotta do it! And it might as well be yours truly. Once inside the suite, I was greeted by the lovely ladies at Lia Sophia. I was taken around the room and given the scoop of the two collections that were on display. The first was the fall/winter collection that’s available now, and the other was the boudika red carpet collection.
The main reason for the party that day? LS was launching the boudika collection and wanted us to get the first look at all the pieces (yes, we were pretty lucky!). Creative director, Elena Kiam, was in the suite as well, helping everyone try on pieces from the new collection and also helping us choose which ones to take home, MAJOR squeal!! I was like a kid in a candy store, trying to decide where to look or go first. (I wound up with the goodies you see here.)
If you get a chance, check out the Lia Sophia web site. These lovely jewels are available through a national network of independent saleswomen. Lia Sophia is available for at-home parties, with great bonuses if you host a party, eek! Most of her jewelry is affordable with prices ranging from $30 – $200 for the catalog collection. The new boudika red carpet collection is a little more expensive, but is fabulously made and well worth the investment, if you’re a jewelry snob like me! So what are you waiting for? Start shopping!
