Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week S/S 2011: Lela Rose
Lela Rose is a designer who consistently gets it right every season. The S/S 2011 collection? Think vibrant and modern with lots of iconic patterns, inspired by the city of Lima. The most beautiful embroidered tulle, hammered gauze and pebbled stretch cotton make up the 35-piece collection. I can’t get over the thread woven beads above – and the gypsum green. Gasping for air.
“Shoes are a critical element for me to help support my design story on the runway each season.” — Lela Rose
Lela’s collection is all about the perfect day dress, but the accessories completely tie everything together. In fact, the designer’s more affordable shoe line for Payless is still going strong, and check out the two new wedge styles below, the Loreto and Magdalena. A raffia sole?? I heart so much. Wedges are my new best friend as of late (hey, it’s still a heel!), and I’ll be scouting these out as soon as they hit stores (in February). The shoe collection also includes one other wedge, a t-strap dress heel and a cocktail shoe.
P.S. Hair was by Ted Gibson for Ted Gibson Salon and make-up by Sarah Lucero for Stila Cosmetics. Undergarments were by Commando by Her Look, and everyone got a cute little piece in their gift bag (blush).
P.P.S. That’s Shantel VanSanten from One Tree Hill, Allison Brie (again) from Mad Men and Jessica Lowndes from 90210.
