NY Fashion Week F/W 2010: Ruthie Davis for Dennis Basso
While I didn’t attend the Dennis Basso show, I received shots of the heels on the runway by designer Ruthie Davis and felt I must tell you about them (Ok, why didn’t I know about these before? Did you know Beyonce accepted her Grammys in a pair??). So swoonworthy. Available at Neiman Marcus this fall, the “Spike” ($1395) and the “Vamp” ($795) stilettos shown here debuted on the runway at NY Fashion Week. Those prices certainly aren’t for the faint of heart, chicettes, so start saving you pennies now (stiletto fund?).
The Spike bootie features crystals and silver metal spikes up the back of the 5-inch heel (yes, you heard it!) with a lush leather upper. And the Vamp (a cross between a pump and a bootie – genius!) features a two-tone high upper and also stands at 5 inches tall with a double (hello!) platform. It comes in red/black, brown/black and all black (meow). Here’s a clip of the show so you can see the heels for yourself (you might wanna sit down for this!).

Loving the fur! Those shoes are just fabulous. Now those are shoes with an attitude, indeed.
