Cynthia Rowley has to be one of my favorite designers of all time. Needless to say, I was so honored to receive an invitation to her runway show that took place today in NYC at Gotham Hall (what a venue, by the way!). And I was lucky enough to have Megan of super-cute fashion site Belles & Rebelles cover the show for I Heart Heels (she’s a stylist and so incredibly nice!). According to Megan, the CR show was her favorite show all day (and she went to plenty!).
The scene at Gotham Hall was very dark, mysterious and Twilight-like – ohhhh. And they even had a band play! Very cool. The new collection had lots of blocks of color and tiered fringe (must have that navy fringe skirt, no!?), and the girls all had their hair crimped and colored with pinks and purples. (I don’t know about you, but can’t wait to pull that pink crimper out again, ha!) Photographer/model Nigel Barker (America’s Next Top Model) and model Maggie Rizer were both in the house. Check out the runway finale Megan caught on tape! More detailed images of the collection to come soon, but can I say I want every piece in it? Squeal!
P.S. Unforch, none of the I Heart Heels crew could cover the reception at the Gagosian Shop at Madison, where Cynthia will make several of her fall looks immediately available (and for cheaper!). If it’s anything like the runway show, we’re certain a good time was had by all. -xoxo
