How Can You Tell Which Wig Density Is Right For Your Hair?
If you have never worn a wig before, you probably don’t realize how difficult it can be choosing the right one. It’s not just a case of finding a style and color that you like, you also need to consider things like density. If you want a wig that will stand the test of time and hold up to daily wear, you need to pick the right density.
In simple terms, density is a measure of how thick the hair is and it ranges from extra light all the way up to extra heavy. A lighter density wig will bald faster than a heavy one, but heavier isn’t always better because it depends on your hair type and the look you are going for. If you want a more realistic look, for example, lower density wigs may be a better choice. You also need to consider your own natural hair and choose a wig density that matches it. If the wig density is very different from the density of your natural hair, it may be quite obvious that you are wearing a wig. The length of the hair is also important when deciding what density your wig should be an, as a general rule, longer hair needs to be denser than short hair.
