FN PLATFORM Kicks Off 2019 With a New Home and Fresh Look

New Year, better you! This also applies to the beloved fashion tradeshow, FN PLATFORM, the international showcase where global leaders in footwear convene to shape the industry, network and shop for shoes. FN PLATFORM has become the pillar of branded footwear and offers everything from men’s, women’s, juniors and children’s footwear brands from over 30 countries. Since its inception, FN PLATFORM has called the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center home during its bi-annual show. However, this coming February 5-7, the renowned marketplace will move to the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The move is a strategic one that show execs say will offer closer adjacency to one of MAGICs key apparel shows: WWDMAGIC.

“We are all on the go 24/7 and bringing the shows closer together provides buyers more efficiency with their time and the ability to cross shop the marketplace,” said Leslie Gallin, President of Footwear at Informa.

Like any new home, the new location will feature a revamped look and feel to the show.

FN PLATFORM has plans to test out new designs and decor elements, with plans to roll out the full version of its futuristic show experience at its August 2019 showcase. We’re told this show will be a feast for the senses, incorporating all senses, with an enhanced shopping experience. To delight our sense of taste, show attendees will have several new and delicious food options available to them in a variety of cuisines. On site restaurants/trucks will include: Vegas Street Eats, East Ocean, Fremont Grill, Honey Salt BBQ, Lindo Michoacan, Walla Pao, Prima Stampa and Atomic Pizza.

In addition to the show’s refresh, the stylish three days will be filled with networking opportunities, educational seminars, celebrity appearances and innovative initiatives for the fashion industry to take advantage of.

Among one of the more exciting appearances will a Geox Formula E (all electric) race car on the show floor and the opportunity to meet a Geox race car driver. On Wednesday, February 6, show attendees can stop by the Geox booth (#62504) from 2pm to 4pm to meet a Geox Dragon driver. Geox will host a contest through the month of February offering a Geox Dragon weekend. The top retailer will receive: two VIP tickets to Eformula Race with a meet-and-greet with the drivers and pit crew + two round trip tickets to New York, lodging and an afternoon at the Geox store and showroom.
