My sweet little L. had another birthday. Sob, tears, sadness. She’s getting so big, y’all. It hurts. (But at the same time inside I’m like yay, she can do more things on her own that I don’t have to do! Bonus.) So insert purple cupcakes here. Her favorite color is purple, and she tells me this nearly every morning on her way to daycare. So I knew instantly I better get moving on some purple cupcakes for her party at daycare.
Cupcakes on Kavanaugh makes THE best cupcakes in the entire city, so I knew I could count on them to help me out. They are the absolute best. They’re the OGs of the cupcake world, and I’ve been eating them for years, sitting on their adorable barstools after my little ones’ haircuts down the street.
Cupcakes Are Exciting
little L. adores cupcakes in general, but a purple heart cupcake is like the most exciting thing since a new pair of shoes to her (yes, genes are strong, folks.). These vanilla minis were adorable and yummy, too. There are SO many treats and things at daycare that I opted for minis because my goodness. They’re toddlers.
So here’s to learning how to ride a scooter this year. New colored bows in our hair. More pairs of shoes in a size bigger. The new big-girl bed. New words. New songs. New friends. New memories.
Oh. My Gosh. I’m stopping now before I have to clean off my keyboard with a tissue. It’s going to be a crazy, fun year with my bigger, even smarter, even sweeter little L. And I can’t wait!
