Whiny Wednesday: Choosing a Cup
I’ve been meaning to tell you all about our quest for the perfect cup with baby L.
I think I’ve mentioned in the past that she skipped straight over the infamous “sippy” and went right to the straw. Let me tell ya…fine. with. me. little C took forever to adapt to a straw and by the time he did I was freaking dancing in the Target aisle.
But let me be honest and say coming by favorite cups hasn’t been easy. We’ve tried cheap and cheesy, eco-friendly, pink, purple, chicken-shaped (not kidding). And I’ve realized throughout this learning process that no matter what, if your child isn’t going to use a no-spill sippy, you can expect spills. And it does kinda stink at first, but you get used to it and learn to be careful with the cups.
Our favorites and the only ones she will drink her milk from are by ZoLi and Lollaland. I mean the Lollacup must be the cutest ever made. The cuuuuute bird design comes in so many colors and it’s made in the USA. It’s BPA and phthalate free and what makes it so easy to littles is that the straw is weighted so it helps them drink easily. The cup is valve free, so this is why your little might spit milk out when first learning (at least this was my experience). Once bebe gets the hang of the fast flow, trust me, she’ll love.
The ZoLi Bot is actually the cup baby L uses the most and it’s very similar to the Lollacup in that it’s eco-friendly, is valve free and has a weighted straw. The handles are perfect for her little hands to hold (and err, throw across the room…hate this phase.). Celebrities love both of these brands because really who wants to carry an ugly cup. It’s one of your toddler’s most important accessories. Wink.
