I was so excited when Porch.com asked me to collaborate with them on the Pantone Style Challenge, along with four other amazing bloggers. What a FUN project! When I viewed this year’s Pantone hues, I was immediately drawn to Tangerine. What a vivid hue and I love it! Pantone calls it “spontaneous and gregarious…energizing, yet not jarring to eye…this fun-loving color invites a smile.” I mean, who doesn’t wanna look like that, right?
So, for the project I aligned my outfit with Tangerine and a Porch home photo (the kitchen was created by Motionspace Architecture + Design PLLC of Seattle, WA) as my inspiration. I just adore how they added green and white in the mix…these colors really pop together and reallllly get me ready for spring!
And besides the colors in this room, don’t you just love those chairs? I love the clean lines and minimalistic look here, and think dressing this way is just as nice. Too much going on in an outfit is such a turn-off and can quickly send something so chic downhill fast. I think interior design and fashion are both very similar and you can learn a lot from studying both together.
Porch.com provided me with $100 to find my Tangerine statement piece, which is this amazing breezy blouse (with a slit back!) by 1.STATE from one of my fav shops in town, Tulips. Squeal! Love that place because it’s just full of color. I actually bought the pearl necklace there several years ago, too. And I’m pretty much obsessed lately with joggers and my favs are these LNA Newport ones. The nubby fabric and fit is so comfy – and it actually pairs perfectly with these gladiator heels I was just sent from White House Black Market. These have an easy back zip and the strappy look is going to be my go-to this spring…soooo chic! GiGi New York monogrammed this green clutch for me when I visited for fashion week in September…there were so many colors to choose from, I’m so glad I chose this one.
After weeks of snow down south, I think we all deserve to wear pretty colors like tangerine and frolic in the spring sunshine for awhile. Shall we?
