How I Styled My Bump: Fall Is Here!
Whew…it’s me again, chicsters. Can’t believe it’s been two weeks since my last post…and trust. These heels aren’t getting any easier! 🙂 You can’t really see the heel here, but they’re borderline kitten, and that’s scary for me. I’m sure next month, I’ll be solely ankle boots, sneaker wedges and…eek…flats! After all, next month marks my third trimester…whoa. I’m so ready to meet baby L. already, but I have quite a few things to get done in the meantime. Today I ordered most of my nursery furniture and I’m slowly getting together my “vision.” We had the walls painted last week, so I can’t wait to show you the final product once it’s ready. I promise to keep showing sneak peeks on instagram, so follow along at iheartheels. 😉
For now, my wardrobe is evolving, and it’s def becoming more challenging to find things to wear – that I feel good wearing. Until now, I’d been wearing flowly, loose articles of clothing to hide that awkward stage. But now that I’m rounding out my second trimester (couldn’t help the pun), I feel like more fitted pieces are beginning to look more flattering. Embrace that bump, yes? So, while this Maggy London dress is not maternity (I sized up two sizes since it’s jersey and to be safe), I feel great in it because it hugs all the right spots…it’s a great length…and the dark, fall colors are amazing!
I must also mention this sweet “baby bag” I’ll be rotating in the bag lineup once baby L’s here. We all know Coach makes undeniably, crazy good bags. But, to be honest, I wasn’t that into their so-called “diaper” bags. Enter this men’s Bleeker Legacy Business Tote in the softest leather…and the coolest lime. I mean, can you believe?! This was a summer hue, but they now offer it in the most gorgeous fall shades, and for the last two months I’ve been carrying it to test it out. It’s going to be a dream, I tell you. It has the perfect amount of pockets on the inside, and I just love the minimalist look. For now, I’m carrying it without the strap, but I’ll def add it back on once baby’s here.
It’s the perfect temp down south right now to wear a jersey dress and heels, but I know pretty soon I’ll be covering myself with boots and sweaters. Not sure about all that yet, but it seems like it will be easy and cozy. Right?!
