It’s New York Time
I’m really too excited for words because today (yes, right now!), I’m on my way to New York. Honestly? I had decided I would skip this year and sit out both season of fashion week (in February and September). I know, shudder, right? But, somehow the fashion gods got their way and here I am once again en route to my fav city in the world – NEW YORK.
In case you’re just catching up, I was chosen as the first of five winners by Diet Coke to attend Wednesday night’s The Heart Truth fashion show (via my submission of the “showyourheart” photo above on Instagram/Twitter). You know, the one where all of the celebrities walk in a red dress down the runway to support heart disease awareness? Yes, it’s quite fancy! And to say I’m squealing, is not even enough. My peeptoes are packed and I’m ready to go. Just as cool? alice + olivia by Stacey Bendet (one of my fav labels of all) agreed to dress me in one of their city chic looks and I’m dying to show you! So obsessed. I can see me now wearing it while drinking my Diet Coke backstage with Minka Kelly. 🙂 Yes, the winners get to meet her since she’s a spokesperson…eek!
This year’s event will feature more than 20 celebs in the show (including Kendall & Kylie Jenner, Kelly Osbourne and Toni Braxton!) walking the runway in red dresses created by America’s top designers to raise awareness of the #1 killer of women, heart disease. Such a great cause and sure to be a wake-up call to all of us.
The public can view the show at 7:00 p.m. EST on February 6 via a livestream video on The Heart Truth Facebook page.
Look for me? 😉
P.S. I’ll also be attending a few shoe previews and fashion shows (since it is fashion week) while I’m in town, so I hope to report back with lots of goodies by next week! Stay chic xo

wow congratulations how very exciting for you! I hope to be able to follow in your “foot steps” one day 🙂 I started a cause last year “Shoes for a Cause” to benefit the March of Dimes (Walk for healthier babies) this year, I hope to meet my goals so that, I can expand it to other deserving causes. Love your blog!
