Chiffon top paired with amber/black paisley printed gazar full skirt/leather belt
Wow. Tadashi Shoji is hands down a fav runway show every. single. season. It literally takes my breath away! Lucky for me, this was the last show I was able to squeeze in before I flew back home last week. Whhhhew. Since it never disappoints (and since I was only in town to view a few shows myself this season), I wanted to make sure I was there! My seat was pretty amazing (thanks, HL Group), so I captured these shots for you. Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today. Eek, I loved it all! The red carpet is going to be mesmerizing very soon, you watch. Exiled nobility, inspired by the splendor of the Russian Empire. And the eventual fall of the imperial rule. Beautiful, rich silks and cut velvets stun along with soft silhouettes and traditional embroidery. Layers of tulle, heavily embroidered lace and even pearls take over – plus, the most amazing backs you’ll ever see. Oh, the draping! Grand, bold colors of RED, burgundy and sapphire blue mix with a paler pink, rose, taupe and wow-worthy snow. Plus, note to self, I must buy a skinny leather belt for all my dresses this fall. To say I enjoyed the showing of this collection is an understatement. I left New York feeling magical! Thanks, Tadashi. 😉 P.S. The shoes were by Joan & David, and aren’t they great?
