Whiny Wednesday: EzyRoller Time
Well, it’s allllllmost Christmas, mamas. Hope you’ve got everything in order? I’ve already started to notice the terrible traffic out and about and dread setting my high-heeled foot in any store (which is so unlike me!). As you know from the last post, the holidays are just insane around here since we also have a birthday to plan (hope you like the previous birthday party post today…it was such a good day for us!). So, when we returned home from the party last weekend, we had one more surprise for our little C. I had left it waiting for him on the porch – with a new Cars helmet next to it, natch. It’s his very own EzyRoller!!
You should have seen his eyes light up at this bright red rolling confection…he loves it! Of course, he does love anything with wheels…he’s certainly “all boy,” as they say. As our neighbor put it when she first saw the EzyRoller, “wow, little C. sure has a fancy new toy!” Honestly, I had never heard of the EzyRoller until I was contacted about trying one out, and then funny enough, it was all around (they even sell them in the Pottery Barn Kids catalog!). The EzyRoller has won loads of toy awards, including the coveted Astra Best Toys for Kids Award, and I can see why. It‘s really easy for little C. to maneuver – and I feel safer having him down low (hey, I worry. a lot.). Shrug. The principle behind this sweet ride is so powerful that most kids can go alone on it within seconds – and as young as three years old like little C. (although I do wish we didn’t live at the top of a hill…we usually have to take him a few blocks over to really get things going so mama doesn’t get so nervous!)
According to the brand, it’s not a luge, not a bike, not a scooter, the EzyRoller moves like a snake, without chains or pedals, using easy right-left leg movements. There are no chains and no batteries – the EzyRoller moves and turns silently. This is completely cool, right? I love this idea, and think it’s quite genius. Now that little C’s sorta “graduating” from his tricycle (hello, that’s for babies and soooo yesterday), I think we’re going to be seeing the EzyRoller dashing around the neighborhood for quite some time. Oh, to be a kid again! Gotta love this time of year…
P.S. This will probably be the last Whiny Wednesday for a couple of weeks, so I hope you all have an amazing holiday break with your families. And, as always, hug those little ones tight. Of course, now we realize more than ever.
