Such a “Glam” Dinner

My first night in New York last week was none other than amazing (dare I say glam?) – and that’s partly thanks to The Glam Network, a major network of fashion and beauty bloggers that this very blog I Heart Heels is lucky enough to belong to…seriously love them. We gathered just down the street from The Standard Hotel at a swank restaurant called Beaumarchais for both a cocktail party and a fancy sit-down dinner. I absolutely loved getting together with my fellow bloggers and was so glad to meet almost all of them for the very-first time (being from outside of New York, I’m very far removed from much of the day-to-day action!).

I had a lot of fun chatting at my table with Melanie of LaBelleMel, Lexi of LexiWithTheCurls and Christina of LoveBrownSugar – really nice (stylish!) girls, and of course we had so much in common. Beaumarchais went all out on dinner because the food was incredible! (Um, not to mention we don’t always get to eat “real” food during fashion week – so I took FULL advantage!) While I can’t remember the names of the dishes, I do know my appetizer included tomatoes, main course involved gnocchi and dessert featured chocolate cake. Allllll of my fav things, so what’s a girl NOT to love, right?! By the end of the evening, I was pretty exhausted, having flown in that morning (um, I got up at 4:30 a.m., hello!), so I retreated back to The Empire Hotel for the evening…with my nice, plump gift bag full of beauty products (the Stila eye palette is gonna be a winner!). I’d say this was one successful…glam…event.
