I’m baaaaaack, y’all! And I’m sick. as. a. dog. Oof, it’s the inevitable “fashion week flu,” and I’ve got it. But since I heart you – and I’ve missed you! – I wanted to post at least one show from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week today…my favorite. DKNY.
Let me tell you…everyone who was anyone was spotted at this show (which took place at Cedar Lake in the artsy Chelsea neighborhood) – from bloggers Bryan Boy and Susie Bubble to major editors Nina Garcia and Brandon Holley. And then there were the celebrities Louise Roe and Ashley Greene, ambassador for the label. The crowd looked stunning, and all of the gorgeous spring clothing didn’t disappoint either. I was lucky enough to be seated right in an aisle so was able to see all of the jaw-dropping looks – from head to heel.
P.S. We also enjoyed Karlie’s Kookies from model Karlie Kloss. I ate mine on the way to catch a cab back, and it was so divine.
Black & white is what DKNY does best, and this twill pieced carcoat is a true standout – complete with baseball cap (by Gypsy Sport) and heels.
What’s a New Yorker? Someone who’s ready for anything. Day to night, street to chic. She loves a contradiction; it defines her style. Just give her the elements, she’ll take it from there. For her, fashion is personal. An endless possibility of expression. Just like her city. — DKNY
The classic tweed jacket goes edgy when paired with a leather skirt…and FYI, chic little backpacks have been all over the spring runway.
“The look is clean, natural and wearable for just about anyone.” — Charlotte Willer, makeup artist for Maybelline New York
I fell in love immediately with this black and white nylon swimsuit…a style most any of us can wear.
A crepe de chine animal-printed shirt dress with a leather jacket so effortlessly tied around the waist. Visor not included.
I had this amazing Donna Karan sighting after the show. Major. life. moment.
Black mesh tank and circle skirt + white heels? SOLD.
The show ended with all of these amazing neoprene jersey dresses, and this white one seemed to float down the runway.
