Behind the (Fashion Week) Scene with Nicole Miller
As you know, we’re busy at I Heart Heels prepping for another fashion week season in New York – major eek! (and major squeals!) Nicole Miller is one show we’re super-excited to see on our agenda, so we caught up with her (amidst her waaaay busy schedule) for just a few quick questions on her collection to go along with her (gorgeous) sketch. Laser-cut shoes for spring? Ok, we’re in!
I Heart Heels: What do you most enjoy about prepping for fashion week each season?
Nicole Miller: I love hanging out with the girls on my design team – nothing like endless hours in the office to bond the team together!
IHH: At what point are you finally finished putting together the collection…the week before the show…the night before the show?
NM: There is always something last minute…that’s impossible to avoid. But really, I am [lucky] to have everything finished the day before the show!
IHH: Who is the spring 2013 Nicole Miller girl and what can we expect in shoes?
NM: The Spring 2013 Nicole Miller girl is independent, adventurous and experimental. She likes to wear different things, and doesn’t stick to one “look.” For shoes, laser cut will be a big trend this season!
