Heels and Harrods
Heels and Harrods…they just go together, right? With the Olympics taking centerstage the next couple of weeks, I’m soooo wishing I was in London right now. I’ve never been (can you believe I’ve never been to Europe? Eek, I know…), but would fancy a trip there any day. Especially to the beloved Harrods department store. My in-laws once brought me back hand soap from there with the name stamped on them, and I have yet to use it so the name doesn’t wash off. Silly, perhaps, but until I go my own someday, I have a lil’ piece of the famed store with me.
These heels? Yup, you can find them at Harrods. Don’t you know that’s the first place I’ll head when I visit (I said, when because some day…). Most of these amazing heels shown here are by Alexander McQueen because they are just that fabulous. I’m pretty sure in London that’s all they wear. Well, besides Kurt Geiger (bottom photo). Amazing, indeed.
The beautiful silhouette of the heel gets me every, single time. I love the chic simplicity of these styles. Even the edgy skull is made simplistic with a striking touch of gold well-placed at the toe of an otherwise subdued black shoe. A silver stiletto like the one above can make a heel seem like pure architecture, while studs at the base of the foot and colorblocking add such fun interest. Wearing heels is fun, but finding them at Harrods makes it that much more special.
