Loeffler Randall Pre-Fall: Tough Meets Pretty
I wanna be a Loeffler Randall girl so freakin’ bad. Buy all of the shoes I could ever have. So perfect, right? If you don’t know by now, Loeffler Randall is a fav brand of mine – shoes like no other. And when the next collection hits the inbox, I squeal with sheer joy. No joke.
Of course, there are some amazing flats in the collection (with polka dots, whoa), but I picked out my two favorite heels to share, natch. If loving these is wrong, I sure don’t wanna be right. A chunky-heeled platform that’s so much chicer than a typical clog, and a fun wedge (with a strap!). I wanna be tough and pretty by fall with all my heart.
“The 2012 pre-fall collection was inspired by the idea of a hardcore girl wearing something girly or feminine – the intersection of tough and pretty. We were inspired by bondage-y leather straps and also conversely by lace, sparkle and polka dots. Feminine polka dot prints inspired the idea of taking studs and covering them in leather on a chunky resin high heel clog. The result is a collection that embraces both ends of the spectrum from sweet to punk. Other design elements include cap toes, woven leather, denim and cork. New key silhouettes include the Sophie 75 mm wedge boot, the Fleur wedge pump and the Nanette cap toe bootie. Each style is designed to be wearable and transition easily from late Summer through to fall.” — Jessie Randall, designer
