Is it Happy Hour yet? I think it’s inching closer…
Now that I’m a stay-at-home mom (who pretty much works part-time as well, let’s just add that, shall we?), I must admit I don’t have a daily or even weekly happy hour these days. It seems like ages ago when I celebrated part of my 21st birthday at Chili’s in my ol’ college town (I won’t tell you how many years ago that was, by the way).
So now that I’m older, I like to celebrate with quality over quantity. There’s nothing better than hanging out with D. on a random weeknight, munching on a huge plate full of wings (we won’t mention watching March Madness because, well, my bracket didn’t survive the weekend…sob.). We always have the best time together, and it doesn’t even have to be a special occasion. Now that we have little C., we like to call it the cliché “date night,” but that’s exactly what it is…it’s our own little form of Happy Hour. Which basically means I wouldn’t trade my quality over quantity for anything.
How do you celebrate Happy Hour?
