How I Wore My Heels…Spring Transition
I’m pretttty sure spring can hurry along now! Right? Aren’t you ready to bust out what feels like an entirely new wardrobe from your closet? I know, I am. To help me transition over the next few weeks to springtime, I pulled my handy-dandy floral dress from the back of the closet. I’ve had this dress for centuries (or as the cool kids would say “it’s vintage”). I feel like I can wear this dress all year, actually. It’s very lightweight, but pair it with the right duds (tights, a cardi, a cool purse) and it can totally work year-round. Season transition mode is definitely tough, so while it’s cool I’m definitely still wearing tights with my heels. But, pretty soon it will be total peep-toe time and I can’t WAIT!
Here’s how I wore my heels:
* Floral dress by Gap (um, circa 1990s? no, seriously, that’s how long I’ve had this, and it’s still relevant.)
* Ivory cropped cardigan with satin pockets by Knitted Dove (I’m just discovering this label, and I like it! I scored this at local shop Tulips for just $9.99…retails for almost $90.)
* Chocolate-brown ribbed rights by Banana Republic (you can’t tell, but yes, they are ribbed. The ribbing makes them so much cuter, too.)
* Sequin belt from local shop Masons (I’ve had this forever, too. It adds the right amount of sugar-sweet sparkle to any outfit.)
* Chocolate-brown heels by Kenneth Cole Reaction (I love the heel height on these because they’re not very tall, yet they’re not exactly a too-low kitten heel (psst…the only heel I will NOT wear!).
* Mustard studded clutch by Francesca’s (a gift from my sister, it adds a bit of spunk to the outfit.)
