Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week S/S 2011: Nicole Miller
The Nicole Miller show Friday night took place in a space on Mercer Street in Soho. Amidst elegant, black columns and an artsy, brick wall, the venue was so perfect. Nicole’s designs are some of my favorites (not to mention, she gave away 10 pair of shoes for us a couple of months ago!). The S/S 2011 collection was amazing, and the most stunning part was the view from the back each time the models walked down the runway. Cowl backs, tape backs, criss-cross backs. All of the gowns were attention-getters not just from the front.
Lots of silk, some satin chiffon, linen and twill. Once again, ivory took centerstage. I always love how Nicole uses fellow redheads in her show, too – the ivory looked especially pretty with the bright-red tresses and fair skin. Hair was by Kevin Ryan and make-up was by James Kaliardos and the MAC Pro team. Accessories? All Nicole Miller, of course!
P.S. Singer Cassie made an appearance (she was the host of the designer’s Fashion’s Night Out shopping event that same night), and model Angie Everhart stood (yep, stood the whole show!) across from me with the shiniest red locksI’ve ever seen.

I'm loving the ivory. Definitely going to remember that come springtime!
