Whiny Wednesday: Cozy & Chic
I’ve fallen in love with a blanket – yes, a blanket. See, baby C. is now just over a month old (wow!) and we’ve been (night after night) attempting not just for him, but for all of us (Lord, help us!) to get a good night’s sleep. I’ve been reading all kinds of books and swaddling is one of the 5 S’s from The Happiest Baby on the Block by Harvey Karp. They did it so well in the hospital that when we got home, we certainly had to practice and practice to keep baby C. from kicking every stinking blanket off his body (kid’s got some legs!). This blanket (The Lotus, $35) from Tea Collection is amazing. Since I received it from the PR folks, we’ve been swaddling every night and it’s def been working much better. It’s the softest pima cotton, the perfect square (best for swaddling) and chic (the print was inspired by vintage Japanese textiles.) And the color? Milk, of course.
Tea Collection is known for all of its darling little outfits, and when I saw this Scooter Romper ($27) on my doorstep, it made me squeal. It’s a little big right now for baby C. (he’s almost 9 pounds…), but I can’t wait to see him in it. Just like the blanket, it’s so soft (cotton jersey) and has handy diaper snaps (I don’t put him anything otherwise, nowadays!). Check out the Web site for a store near you!
