Whiny Wednesday: Announcing Baby (Tweet, Tweet)
This past weekend I sent out my latest “art project,” the baby announcements. Swoon! I started on them several months ago, addressing the blank, white envelopes, placing the return address labels on them and picking out the most precious design I could possibly find to announce “baby C.’s finally here!”
I turned to Tiny Prints, who took care of Tori Spelling’s birth announcements (we did wear the same hospital gown, after all!) and Kelly Ripa’s family holiday cards. I loved sorting through pages and pages of totally swoon-worthy finds – I went to “shop by occasion” and it was easy as pie.
For baby C., I chose the Hip Chicks design pictured here with the headline (you can customize to your liking, of course), “How Tweet It Is.” (Baby C. wore his Serena & Lily bird outfit home, so I found it fitting, even though it ended up you couldn’t even see the birds in his photo, which, by the way, isn’t him in this sample announcement.) Don’t you love the blue and brown and pretty cursive font?
My experience with Tiny Prints (who was nice enough to provide me a discount) was beyond exceptional, so I want to recommend to you, of course. They pre-shipped me the envelopes so I could have in my hand and organize early, and then I simply entered all my details and left a comment that said “will send details with photo upon birth.” Once baby C. was born, all I had to do was upload the (super-cute!) photo and enter all the deets – and voila! I kid you not, upon placing my order, they were in my hands by the end of the same week. I would so do business with Tiny Prints again – is there such thing as a Valentine’s Day announcement? I’m ready! -xoxo
