Dirty Laundry (Rain Boot!) Giveaway!
Rain, rain, go away! Wait – if I had these boots, I would cherish the rain – and that’s saying something. (I.hate.rain.) I’ve been dying to have a pair of rain boots for forever, but haven’t bought any yet. Why? Because I’m fearful of coming across too kitschy, too posed – too playful? I don’t want to ruin my outfit with a pair of hideous wellies that scream, “look at me!” and take away from everything else I’m wearing in my wardrobe.
So, let me introduce you to Dirty Laundry‘s (yes, a relative of one of my fav brands, Chinese Laundry!) “Roadhouse” rain boots ($49) – simple and chic. Ah, shower me with style! These come in both black and red (for the daring), and I love how the silver buckle adjusts at the top of the shaft (for those with larger calfs like moi!). The boots are non-skid and padded – so you might actually wear them for a full day of shopping – perfect for taking a (small!) break from those heels. I would wear these with skinny jeans and a long, plaid button down.

I would definitely pair these with dark skinny jeans and a casual top. I would probably also throw on my black leather jacket, because these boots look more biker-chick than little girl playing in the rain. Love them!

These boots are the perfect classic rain boot. They're not too cutesy and you can wear them with so many things! They also look very functional with treads on the sole of good traction.

Very sexy 'retro-chic'… resembling a Riding Boot. You could definately wear them with anything!
