A Quick Second with LC (You Know, Lauren Conrad)
If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile (or hardly at all!), you know I’m obsessed with The Hills star Lauren Conrad‘s style. I mean, rarely is this girl a fashion “don’t” (she even has her own clothing line, Lauren Conrad Collection, for crying out loud!). LC’s been crazy-busy lately what with the new (and last – sob!!) season of The Hills starting (premieres April 6 at 9 pm central on MTV) and a new book out (er, books, it’s a three-book deal, and the first is out June 16), L.A. Candy, so she BARELY had time to chat. Me? I was thrilled to catch up with her for even a second!
So, what’s on the Cali-girl’s mind these days? For starters, she LOVES shoes, especially heels. “I can’t get enough of them – and the higher the heel the better,” she tells me. And lately she’s been into simple and comfortable duds (true Cali-style, right?!). “[My everyday style is] jeans, a T-shirt and blazer, or a flannel and a great pair of Louboutins.”
And as far as The Lauren Conrad Collection goes, it’s still rolling along nicely.”We are delivering spring to stores right now,” she says. “I really love this collection! I love the soft feminine colors and the flirtiness.” (We couldn’t agree more!)
So after five seasons of The Hills, what will Lauren miss the most? “Definitely the crew. I grew up with some of them and have been working with them since Laguna. After six years, you get to know a lot about people and some of them are like family.”
