The countdown has officially begun – I’m in my last month and can’t wait for baby C’s arrival – yea! Over the past month, I’ve gathered just a few more things for him – particularly for his bath time. Squeal! Of course, for the first couple of weeks, I won’t be using some of this stuff, but if you know me, I am usually over-prepared. I noticed when stalking other people’s registries (yes, I do this and you know you do, too!) that they registered for the usual bathtub. You know, the one that has all babies squealing with anger (at least, that’s what mom said I did!). So, I decided to be unconventional yet again and go with Prince Lionheart’s washPOD ($24.98 at Target). Mine is white, and I can’t wait for baby C’s first bath. Europeans all over claim this is the best baby tub ever because it creates that safe haven of being in the womb. It’s recommended by physicians and midwives, alike. Pretty nifty, right?
So once I got the tub, I had to have more of the best baby products I could find. I previously posted on some of my favs, but here are more of the latest!
Babies can never get enough moisture, so I hear (silly, dry skin!). And if baby C’s anything like me, his will be extra-sensitive. So, I’m going with the extra-mild, unscented version of this organic line. It’s nut, soy and wheat-free as well as paraben- and mineral-oil free. Which means it’s non-irritating and perfect for rubbing all over! (P.S. Check out their cute little bath mitts – precious!!)
These are already in my diaper bag, ready to go! They’re the answer to a clean freak’s prayer – perfect since it’s flu season (ah, don’t get me started!). You can go to town wiping with these because they’re free of all the nasty stuff, like parabens, alcohol, wheat, gluten, etc. Instead, they’re packed with antioxidants (my mom’s fav word) and good ingredients like organic aloe and marine silk for extra moisture. Soothing, indeed.
Every time I shop at Target (um, every other day?), I stumble upon Method products – great for the environment and what cute packaging. Well, their baby products, Methodbaby, are certainly no different. This set is everything baby C. will need to stay squeaky clean. The line is 95% natural and hypo-allergenic and this set includes diaper rash cream, lotion, body wash and, aww, bubble bath. Swoon.
Oh, and don’t forget toys – lots of bath toys! I’m loving the line, Boon. If ever a bath toy was modern and chic, these are it! I have already “installed” the Frog Pod toy organizer ($34.99) in the “big bath tub” (it’s so neat because you can scoop up all of the toys at once! can you tell I’m the organizer once again?), and filled it with toys like the Splat (ring toss) and Water Bugs (floating toys with a net) – each $7.99. Unfortch, baby C. won’t be splashing around with any of these just yet, but I am certainly counting down the days until…ready, set…oh wait! I don’t want him to grow up too fast. Sigh.
