Have You Seen SATC2 Yet?
Did everyone have a long and extra-chic weekend?? Whew, I know I did! I wore my new Loomstate, Citizens jeggings, Ella Moss wrap and black bikini (ahem, Old Navy, thanks) all in a fabulous four-day stretch. We visited with family, had several cookouts, shopping trips and a pool party. And Sunday, my mom and I ventured out to see Sex and the City 2. Groan. You’re not going to like this. I hated it. (Well, not all of it! Some of the Christian Louboutins and Brian Atwoods of the film were just lovely! And didn’t you love Carrie’s new shoe closet?)
See, I really, really loved the first (I own it, and it was one of the first I watched after having baby C. – ah, the glitz, the glamour…), so there was no way this one could live up to it. But, not just that. I was disappointed in the fashion (it wasn’t shown and focused on enough, no?). Sure it might’ve been Dior and Matthew Williamson with a $10 million-budget, but I just didn’t dig much of anything besides the tiered orange maxi dress Carrie sported towards the end. Call me crazy, but I watch SATC 90-percent to see the fashion (and the city – which, of course, was mostly absent), and about 10-percent for the storyline.
Signed,
Disappointed 🙁
P.S. I did, however, love this canary yellow Valentino dress (Haute Couture S/S 2010) SJP wore to the NY premiere – so Carrie!
