Classic DVF
Oh, DVF. You had me at hello. Diane von Furstenberg knows how to do it right, no? A classic all around. I despise most prints, actually, but not those of DVF. They are gorgeous and even flattering at the same time. Take this “Vanner” dress from the Fall 2010 collection that Naomi Watts wore at Cannes, for instance. So chic with the flowing layers and trace of aquamarine hues – perfect for the seaside. Why this dress works? It cuts above the knee, uses a darker-hued print, has a v-neck (flattering) and drapes away from the body every-so-slightly (not too baggy, but not tight at all). And, of course, I love those yellow heels (I’ve been wearing mine everywhere lately!). They work with the dress perfectly – simple, yet sassy.
P.S. I am dying over DVF’s new jelly sandals, the Jaya. They are only $75! Apparently, they’re selling like hotcakes, and they come in tons of colors, including this very pretty blue. The perfect summer sandal for when you’re taking a break from those heels. 😉
