Flowers for Mother’s Day
I hope you all had an amazing Mother’s Day…whether you’re a new mom, an old mom or just remembering your mom on this special holiday. No doubt, moms are special people and my mom deserves all the credit in the world for being my rock in times of good and bad. She’s. The. Best.
In 2013, I had a gender reveal party for baby L. and goodness, when I released those pink balloons, the surprised look on her face said it all. I think she truly thought I was going to have another boy. That was one of my most fun memories right there…I kept it a secret form her the entire week, which is realllllly saying something! And at my party I had some incredibly yummy treats I had ordered from New York and my mom just loved them. (Hey, she’s pretty much responsible for my sweet tooth!) So I was lucky enough to have Treat House get involved yet again and surprise her with these too good gourmet crispy rice treats decorated especially for Mother’s Day. (The marshmallows are handmade and that’s my fav part! little C. loved the ones with M&Ms in them, of course.) She’s had an incredibly tough year with getting sick this past summer and then losing my dad several months ago, and I wanted to really make her feel good.
I just knew that instead of a fresh bouquet of flowers, these would be her perfect bouquet. So…that’s what I did. I gave my mom flowers…in the form of treats! 🙂 Thank you, Treat House for always being so sweet. My mom and I had a really lovely day!
P.S. As you know, my mom has leukemia. One of the amazing things about Treat House is they have partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. You can help “treat” others by making a donation to cover the cost of shipping treats to those affected by a blood cancer. Since it’s near and dear to my heart, I’ll probably be ordering these again very, very soon. Love a company with a big heart! Mwah!
