How I Wore My Heels…to the Horse Races
I know, I know. Where’s my big, floppy hat, right? Down South, the horse races are F-U-N. If you ever have the chance to go, you should. While I’ve never been to the Kentucky Derby, the races here are amazing (Calvin Borel races allll the time, and he’s won multiple derbies.) One of the greatest things to do besides watch the pretty horses is outfit-watching. Some of the girls (and guys) get dressed to the nines. This past weekend (in gorgeous 70-degree-weather, no less) I saw tons of squeal-worthy heels, but alas, forgot to take pictures. So, you’ll have to settle for my heels, instead. A lil’ ol’ pair I picked up on sale the the other day. Can you say DVF? Air kisses!
P.S. In case you weren’t aware, on Sunday, Target re-launched all of their fav designer dresses and called it the GO International Collective. I scooped up a couple, including this polka-dot number by Jovovich-Hawk (for just $40!). Speaking of fun…
Here’s how I wore my heels:
* Polka-dot dress by Jovovich-Hawk for Target (this was one of my fav GO collections, and this dress is pure fun to wear…I love the billowing style – and the sleeves are sheer!
* Black suede heels by Diane von Furstenberg (these heels are the new love of my life – they take my breath away every time I wear them…in a good way! I love all of the straps, the zipper and back…oh, and the fact that I found them for $60 when they normally retail for $300!)
*Black/gold earrings from fav local shop Masons (the dress speaks for itself, so only a cute pair of earrings need apply)
