Whiny Wednesday: Anthropologie Collabs with Tia Cibani’s kicokids
Let me preface this post with this. collection. is. amazing. Anthropologie has collaborated with designer children’s brand kicokids, for the holiday season. If ever there was a little girl’s collection I loved more, I can’t think of it. While I haven’t seen any of these garments in person, the images are absolutely adorable. Any girl would be lucky to wear these clothes – heck, I want to wear them!
It’s for girls ages 2-6, and it’s inspired by nostalgia and the naivete of childhood – theme elements of adventure and modern take centerstage, and it’s such a sweet fit for the retro feel of Anthropologie. And in case you weren’t aware, the founder and creative director of kicokids is none other than Tia Cibani of Ports1961 fame. She left her post at the brand last summer, but throughout her six years at Ports had always kept up her love for the kicokids line. And so you have it. A patchwork printed silk/wool full circle skirt with crinoline peeking through the hem; a reversible padded pea coat in Lapis blue jersey and cotton velvet. Can’t. get. enough. Seems this collection almost deserves its very own runway show a la Ports, no?

I think the Joyfolie children's shoes are the best part of the holiday collection, the snowflake boots are my favorite
