How I Wore My Heels: In the Spring
Hiya, everyone! Can I tell you this week has started off in the worst way? I actually broke a favorite camera lens (yep, taking a style shot in the wind…albeit not this particular one), and have been heartbroken ever since. Needless to say, I’m about to purchase a new one pronto, and my other lens is getting me by. So to cheer me up, I decided to put on COLOR and wear the new blouse I bought over the weekend. Purple is a power color for us redheads (ok, fine…I think I’m now strawberry blonde…), and I’m not sure why I don’t wear it more often. I love it! And right now I’m loving wearing color upon color – different shades of purple look eclectic and fresh.
And can I tell you about the latest pair of heels, please? They’re straight off the spring runway from Timo Weiland‘s show (if you don’t know him yet, you’re gonna!). He collaborated with shoe brand Tsubo (which I heart to pieces) and wham! The chicest shoes ever. There are three styles in the collab, but the Tarata is by far my favorite. So unique, and might I add, so comfy!? Combine these with the purple and I’m already cheered up and ready to take on the rest of the week. 😉
Here’s how I wore my heels:
*Bright purple button-down blouse by BCBG Max Azria from Marshall’s (I debated on this one because it was a size larger than I normally wear, but it actually works out because it’s great for layering and was just $60! It’s a cotton/silk blend, by the way…)
*Black silk camisole by BCBG Max Azria (have had this forever…cost me $17 on sale…closet staple)
*Gold owl pendant (from Hemline in New Orleans)
*Cuffed shorts by BCBGeneration (just swiped these up at Dillard’s this weekend on sale for $30…they have streeeeeetch, hence the reason I fell in love)
*Purple clutch from local shop, masons (it has a chain strap, too!)
*Assortment of bracelets from J.Crew, Lia Sophia and Threads of Friendship (loooove my new bejeweled friendship bracelet…it’s the pink one!)
*Wedges gifted by Tsubo (this brand has some sweet wedges for spring, hello, and these particular ones from the TW collab also come in a navy/white combo…isn’t the lace-up in the front so cool??)
