Adopt a Pet…Show Your Shoes
Combine pets and shoes and you’ve got me at hello, folks. I have an orange cat named Ted (or Teddy, he goes by both), and he’s just the sweetest as can be. We’ve had him for seven years now, and that’s a long time to have a (mostly) outdoor cat! I’ve always had an affection for those fuzzy things, but I’m allergic. I know, it’s sad, right? But, as long as I don’t put the cat in my face and smother him with kisses (which I admit I love to do) or have him stay in the house, I’m all right. Now, that you know my cat history…Lord & Taylor and Best Friends Animal Society will host a “Perfect Pairs” adoption day Sat., June 23 form 1-5 p.m. in celebration of the retailer’s biggest sandal sale of the year. Can I get an amen??
Animal rescue groups that are part of Best Friends Animal Society’s No More Homeless Pets® Network will bring rescued pets available for adoption to the stores as part of a national effort to put shelter pets in front of retail shoppers. (oh yeah, did I mention my kitty Ted was an animal shelter pet??)
And from now until June 27, you can submit on the Lord & Taylor Facebook a photo of your pet with your fav pair of shoes to win a pair of shoes every month for a year! Holy peep-toes, I’m entering this one. And a great photo opp nonetheless. Can’t wait to put Ted next to my slingbacks! (he hates his photo…)
