How I Wore My Heels: Big, Chunky Sweaters
Big, chunky sweaters are key as we enter winter. I kinda feel like I’ve been overusing this one I bought by Elan, but I’m kinda like who cares? One weekend I went on a big, chunky sweater hunt. The sales associate kept handing me these flimsy things, and I kept saying thanks, but thinking this sweater is not chunky enough at all. So…mission accomplished. I brought every chunky sweater into the dressing room and this one absolutely WON!
I love this sweater because I can wear it with skinny jeans or leather leggings. I actually even channeled my inner-Olsen-twin and wore it with a maxi skirt one day! It was lovely. I’m exceptionally excited though about the way you can layer another shirt under it, and the sweater has more of a “cape” feel. There are actual arm holes, but they are oversized, and beneath them it’s actually open on the sides. All the more reason to pair it with these grey Hudson jeans (thank you, Hudson!) that have a metallic beaded strip down the edges of each side. Can I mention these jeans are like butter? They’re super soft and suuuuuuper stretchy (I can actually put them on and off without unbuttoning…so think legging, I guess.)
Oh, and style trick. This faux-fur “clutch” is actually an iPad cover I found at Restoration Hardware – gasp! What can I say, I’m a resourceful shopper.
Hope you all had a super-nice long holiday – now it’s time to get back in the swing of things and start the new year so FRESH. My new slogan is GO FOR IT. If ever in doubt, go for it. Let’s do this, y’all! xoxo
