Although Christmas is fast upon us. The year that we have had has meant that getting out to buy gifts has been more difficult, and the fact that many of us are restricted from spending time with our loved ones has meant that the perfect gift has become more of a necessity. You are often met with ‘I don’t need anything’ or ‘there’s nothing I want’, which certainly doesn’t help.
So, what should you think about when trying to find the perfect present this time of the year? Let’s have a look below:
Gift An Experience
This is the perfect solution for that person who always says that they don’t need or want anything. Rather than trying to guess or struggling with something that you’re not sure about, why not gift them an experience instead? Ok, things are a little more difficult on that front at the moment, but you could arrange a show ot trip to a favorite restaurant in the future.
Make A List
It can be difficult to find the ideal present when you are wandering around the shops aimlessly, or scrolling online. Instead, make a list of all the things that the person enjoys, and is interested in. Make it a long list and write down as much as you can think of. Now think about an item that could link to each of these interests, big and small. You don’t have to get these items, but it may just give you the food for thought with what you could get.
Look At What They Need
Ask yourself what that person may need. Yes, they might be saying that they don’t need anything, but, in all honesty, it’s probably the fact that they don’t want to ask. Think a bit wider, could they do with new Leather Wallets? Maybe they’ve run out of their favorite perfume? Got a friend studying at university? Why not build them an essential hamper, students are always running low! Even a hamper full of Christmas goodies goes down fantastically for nearly everyone. Think about what their favorites are and throw in some cozy socks for good measure.
Give To Charity
So, you have that one person on your list that you are still struggling with. They seem to have everything that needs (even if you probably could find something if you looked hard enough). There is a lot of people out there who end up with gifts they don’t want or need because they have a lot or don’t like ot have a lot. Instead, find something that they are passionate about and then think about donating to that cause. Have they done volunteer work or competed in a run for charity? Are they a dog lover, or help the homeless? One of the best ways to counteract someone who doesn’t want/need anything is to donate to a cause they believe in.
