My Sunday Funday Makeover with Belle & Blush (plus, giveaway!)
This weekend I stopped by one of my fav beauty stores in town, Belle & Blush. Good gosh, I want everything in that store. If you’re a beauty junkie like me, you’ll love (did I mention you can enter below to win a $50 gift card?? Do it and good luck!). And while I heart my beauty products to pieces, I don’t always know what to do with them. I mean, seriously. Yes, I own a Beauty Blender and half the products on the counter, but apply them to my face, huh? And who has time for that? Not this mama. I apply makeup and it looks like I’ve applied nothing on a daily basis.
Let me just say Samantha was a complete jewel on one of the single worst days of my life. She worked magic, and by the time it was all said and done, I did have an hour of reflection and bliss in the makeup chair. Sometimes a girl needs that.
For the look (I was attending our first preschool orientation that afternoon, eek!), we went for a youthful glow with medium coverage, and I loved how it turned out! I’ve hardly gotten any sleep, and S. even showed me a fun trick by lining the inner rims of my eyes with a white pencil. Omg…I was crazy impressed! (And if I haven’t shared this with you, yo wouldn’t have known, right?!)
So here’s the total breakdown on how to get this look:
Skin Prep1. Goldfaden MD Radical Difference Serum – An advanced antioxidant serum for boosting radiance.2. Dr Brandt Glow Ruby Crystal Retinol Hydracreme – A moisturizer that resurfaces and creates a lit from within look on the skin3. Goldfaden MD Bright Eyes – An eye cream that firms, lifts, de-puffs and brightens the eye area.ComplexionPrimer: We skipped using a traditional primer and used the Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint in the color Pearl. Tinted moisturizers are a great option for priming.Foundation: Using a wet beauty blender, Samantha applied the Vincent Longo Water Canvas foundation in #2. She started at the center of the face and worked her way out. She stippled the foundation on. Whatever she had remaining in the beauty blender, she then worked into the forehead, nose and chin area.Concealer: Under the eyes, Samantha used the Smashbox Camera Read BB Eyes in the color Fair. To conceal any blemishes or redness, she used the Smashbox Camera Ready Full coverage concealer.Bronzer: Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer was used on the top of the forehead, under the cheekbones and around the jawline.Blush: Too Faced Candy Glow was used on the apples of the cheeeks and then blended into the bronzer.Highlight: Jouer Cream highlighter in the shade Tiare was placed above the brows, center of the forehead, down the bridge of the nose and lightly on top of the blush to create a sheen on the cheeks.EyesPrimer: Too Faced Shadow InsuranceShadow: Too Faced Natural Eye Pallet – Silk Teddy – was placed on the lid and blended up into the crease. Cashmere Bunny was used from outer corner to inner corner as the transition shade with Sexspresso blended on the outer corner.Liner: Smashbox Jet Set Gel Liner in Dark Brown was smudged on the top lid only. In the bottom water line, we used Vincent Longo Pro Liner in the shade Ivory to brighten the whites of the eyes and take away any redness around the inner rim.Brows: Smashbox Brow Tech Trio in the Shade Auburn. First we brushed the wax through the brows to keep them in place, then mixed the two shades to create the perfect shade of auburn for the brows.Mascara: Size Queen Mascara was used to amp up the volume.Lips: Smashbox Limitless Gloss in the Shade Limiteless was used to give the lips a natural glossy look.
