Brand I Love: Jane Iredale
Not sure if you remember, but I work with Vogue Magazine to help them test out products from time to time as a Vogue Influencer (I know, tough gig, right?). Last month, they sent me this Jane Iredale starter kit (retail is $55 and it’s actually a $77 value), and I’ve been trying
this beauty of a thing for the last few weeks. I’ve wanted to try this brand for ages since I’ve always heard rave reviews of it and how good it is for your skin…so pure, yet pretty darn radiant. I found this to be exactly the case!
The cute lil’ trial sizes came in this silver bag that has a nice mirror (so you can take it with you on the go…a plus for moi!). It includes: primer, foundation (which also functions as an amazing concealer and sunscreen!) powder and a hydration spray. Can I be honest with you here? I totally left the hydration spray (Pommisst) out of the photo because I had been using it all day. The long Memorial Day weekend around the heat and pool had me grabbing this spray constantly….I loooove the way it smells like pomegranate and it’s refreshing to the max. It will be gone in no time the way I’m using it!
So, basically I started with the primer (which has a very nice texture….not too thick…and feels cool on the skin). I then used the brush to apply the foundation and powder. They’re extremely lightweight, so you sort of have to layer a lot if you’re wanting more coverage. I’ve found that this is the perfect summer makeup because it is so lightweight and it looks so natural, yet gives plenty of coverage and a nice, fresh-faced look. You know, the effortless
look? I used the Medium Light shade, but there are five shades from Light to Dark.
And, of course, the last step is spraying the hydration spray to give you an even dewier glow. See my final look below! Ahhhhh, summer how I love thee. And thanks, Vogue, for introducing me to Jane! 😉
Hope you all had an amazing long weekend with the ones you love…it’s good to be back! Mwah. Xoxo
