My “Can’t Live Without” Make-up Products
Since I became pregnant last year, I had to completely change my beauty routine. I mean completely. No more fun experimenting with product A or product B because I had to be extra careful of the products absorbed through my skin (which makes us all think how we should always think that way, no?). One of the major components of my routine that was missing was salicylic acid, which is a major acne clearer (and unfortunately something I have always needed – thanks for the genes, dad!).
Just last week, I was sent a few samples and started using bareVitamins Skin Rev-er Upper by Bare Escentuals ($21.00), and my face has instantly perked up. I’m not kidding! I use it as a primer before my make-up (Bare Escentuals, of course) every morning, and it honestly feels so good going on my skin. It smoothes out my skin so my make-up also goes on smooth, and it totally “revs” up my skin. It really is like a daily vitamin for my skin. And it has really cleared up a lot of my acne, no joke (combined with my normal daily skincare routine, of course).
The other part of my Bare Escentuals routine is this Full-Coverage Kabuki Brush ($28). The make-up brush mother of them all – I swear. This brush has saved my life – well, my make-up routine, at least. It’s actually made of soft, goat hair (weird, I know), but it provides coverage like you wouldn’t believe. This is one of those tools every girl should have in her make-up bag. A hidden beauty gem if there ever was one!
