Candy Color Face
Tomorrow is February – can you believe it?! Honestly, I hate February. If it didn’t have Valentine’s Day (which is usually setting yourself up for a huge letdown anyway) and Fall Fashion Week, I would loathe it – ugh. Cold weather is just not for me. Which is why once February does hit, I immediately begin the mindset of “March is just next month!” And so I start sampling all of the magnificent spring products hitting shelves – take me away!
Benefit Cosmetics recently sent me a handful of goodies to try, and so I thought I would share with you my favs. Benefit is a favorite brand of mine that I discovered while calling in beauty samples when I worked as a beauty editor those many years ago – sigh. They have such cute and quirky packaging, which I’m always lured by, and the products never disappoint. And so here it is – Benefit’s spring must-haves. Sugarbomb ($28) is a make-up bag must, chicettes. It has four stunning peachy-pink shades and a “flush brush” you can use to sweep all across your pretty little face. I love how easy it is to apply, and it gives you the perfect pop of color, and I’ve been using it in place of blush (face it, color is good, but you don’t wanna look like St. Bart is your second home, right?). And the other is Benefit’s new velvet eyeshadow ($18) that comes in a whopping 15 shades (and they really do feel like velvet!)! I’ve been using Nice Melons as a subtle base and Fancy Pansy for a beautiful soft, purple sweep of color across my lids. I use the base all over the lid and up to the brow bone and the purple only across the lid. (Tip: Use sparingly because a little goes a long way!)
