Dylan’s Candy Bar is located just around the corner from Bloomie’s, so I know you’ve been there or at least seen it, right? If you’re not an NYC-er, what about in one of your local Neiman’s, Nordstrom’s or Sephora’s? You can get your sweet fix inside these stores, too (for a complete listing go to their Web site Store Locator.) Of course, the grandaddy of them all is the one in NYC (Owner Dylan Lauren, Ralph’s daughter, carries over 5,000 kinds of candy!), and since I don’t live there (or even near one of the other locations), I am so, so happy the nice PR lady sent me some shower gels to try. Drool.
I now have the Soda Pop Shower Gels ($16 each) on constant rotate in my shower, and they are the cutest things ever. Birthday Cake Batter and Coconut Bon-Bon are the “flavors” of my choice. Hey, and they’re calorie-free! I love the easy squeeze bottles – there’s no mess and no hassle (and actually I probably get a little too squeeze-happy because it’s so easy – gotta remember not to use too much so soon!).
They’re free of parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate, mineral oil, synthetic preservatives and proplyene glycol. So, what’s the good stuff in them? Soapwort Extract (from soap nuts for that nice lather), Aloe Vera, Vitamin E and JoJoba Seed Oil (non-greasy, but lots of moisture!). For a limited-time, visit the site and get 20% off these delicious concoctions! Now…if I can just stay away from the “Chocolate” section.
P.S. Mix the two gels above and what do you get? Coconut Cream Pie – yum!!
